"Leon" by Luc Besson
dedicated to Kaja
Why I love "Leon"?
Well it's not because of Natalie Portman because when I saw this movie for the 1st time I didn't know who she was :). I saw the movie in 1995 or 1996 when I was on my vacation at my family. My cousin rented the movie, but 1st I didn't want to see it 'cause I thought it's a French crap (but to mention I saw Besson's "La Femme Nikita" a few years before and I liked it very much) :). Fortunatelly, I was wrong. So I was sitting in a room slashing and killing monsters in"Quake" and Patryk, my cousin, was watching the movie. When I got bored with the game I decided to go and see at least a bit of the movie. I saw it from the moment when SWAT attacks Leon's appartment. I was stunned with what i saw so when I returned home I rented "Leon" and watched it. WOW!!! I just fell in love with the movie. Incredible Jean Reno as Leon ,amazing Gary Oldman as officer Stansfield and perfect Natalie Portman as Mathilda. 3 great creations.
I saw the movie more than 10 times and I still like watching it. Fortunatelly I've go the director's cut version that is something about 30 minutes longer. Then my friend bought me a soundtrack by Eric Serra. It's amazing. That was the moment when I bought Serra's "Joan of Arc", "The Fifth Element" and "La Femme Nikita". He's great. Anyway, thanx to "Leon" I 'met' Natalie Portman, who is now my favourite actress :).
Well, I guess that's it :). Cheers.

A bit more about movies
I don't have one genre I like. It all depends on my humor.
When I wanna cry I watch "Boys on the Side" and "Fried Green Tomatoes".
When I wanna laugh I watch comedies, mainly parodies (but not Scary Movie - terible crap except the 3rd part). I remember when I was watching "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" I don't remember how many times I had to pause the movie to laugh out :). Love it.
When I want a stupid action movie I watch "XxX" 'cause it's stupid and has a lot of action and what's more Asia Argento is there :D.
My favourite horrors are those oldies made by George A. Romero, Wes Craven or Tob Hooper especially "The Night of the Dead", "People Under the Stairs", "Deadly Friend" (I cried at the end of this horror) and of course "Army of Darkness by Sam Raimi. I really hate new horror movies. They're not scary at all, well maybe except "Blair Witch Project" and Japanese version of "The Ring" 'cause the American version sucks.
My favourite comic based movie is "X-Men" but as I said in previous post I love "X-Men" and not only the movie but also comic. It makes you laugh, it makes you angry, it makes you cry. It's all there. And Emma Frost....wow, but unfortunatelly she's not in a movie :(. I hated "The Punisher" or "The Hulk" but I never liked those comics :).
My favourite animated movie are "The Ghost in the Shell" by Mamoru Oshii and "Neon Genesis Evangelion by GAINAX. Someone said that life ia a story. If it's true than "Evangelion" is my life. Also, I like "The Lion King" :) but Japanese animation rulez :).
From thrillers I think the best is "Natural Born Killers" by Oliver Stone. WOW! Also, "Kalifornia" by Dominic Sena (great Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis).
Romantic movies are....hmmmm.... "Brokeback Mountain" by Ang Lee, "Where the Heart Is" by Matt Williams (awfully sweet but I love it). I can't recall more 'cause I don't like such movies :).
Historical movies are "Elizabeth" by Shekhar Kapur, "Joan of Arc" by Luc Besson (he lies about her life in this movie but it's good to watch) and more.
Sci-fi are "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" (ehh, captain Jean-Luc Picard) , Event Horizon", "The Planet of the Apes" (old version).
Fantasy? "Neverending Story", I think the movie is better than the book, but only the first part. "The Lord of the Rings" and... I just love fantasy so I guess almost everything :).
And finally serials. Hmm... "ER", "Xena:Warrior Princess" (a lot of subtext :D), "Alias", "Lost" and...that's all you need to know :).
O.K. that's it 'cause you probably are sleeping right now (I hope not) :). What can I say? I'm a movie addict and I could talk about it 24/7 :). Cheers.
P.S. I guess this is the longest post I've written :). Sorry for that.

The Best Movie Ever
This post was proposed by Poul. It is for you to decide, which movie is the best ever. He decided that it is "Pi" by Darren Arofonsky. And what do you think?
I don't have one and only movie I like 'cause I love movies, but you know it :). I decided to make a list of 10 movies I enjoy watching. OK here we go.
10. X-Men (all parts because I'm addicted to it :))
09. Leon by Luc Besson
08. The House of the Spirits by Billie August
07. Saint-Cyr by Patricia Mazuy
06. Fried Green Tomatoes by Jon Avnet
05. Garden State by Zach Braff
04. Kalifornia by Dominic Sena
03. Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola
02. Star Wars by John Lucas (although I hate The Phantom Menace)
01. The Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson
The numbers do not tell that I like one movie more than another and those ten are just the tip of an iceberg 'cause I've watched to many good movies in my life. I'm addicted to Natalie Portman so I watch every movie of her, I adore Asia Argento, Sarah Polley, Juliette Lewis and Famke Janssen. Four good but underestimated actresses. If it comes to guys than we have Colin Firth, Victor Garber and Alan Rickman.
But stickin to the topic write what are your favourite movies. Here in comments or maybe on your blog. Cheers.

What I believe in
I believe that one day my parents will be able to learn the truth about me and they won't condemn me...
I believe that those friendships I have will last very long and I won't lose them after ten years as it happened to me few months ago :(.
I believe that I will finally find a way in my life.
I believe in many things but I'm not gonna tell you everything :).

Me & the Family :)
This is the photo of my father. That's the little guy in the middle :). He's between his parents and behind them are my dad's sibilings :). The oldest one was this guy, uncle Bolek, on the right. There was 26 years of difference between my dad and him :). Suprising ha?The girl on the right is my mom with her school friends :). Long ago in a galaxy far far away... ;)
And this is me when I was four and my seven year old brother, Peter :). My protector in primary school when others were picking on me. Of course he was hitting other boys 'cause he believed that he was the only one, who can pick on me :). But I still like that guy :).

My coming out of the closet...I'm scared
That's a bit taken from TVN24 News. What the f***k is wrong with this country??? Almost 100%?? That is interesting, I'm not a pedophile but maybe I'm not in those 100% :). Well, I shouldn't be so shocked when a country is ruled by 2 ducks that can't even kwack properly, The Minister of Education (sic!) is a moron, we have a coalition with a person having been charged and sentenced in the past, who thinks white and red ties are still modern ;).
Mrs. Lewandowska said that we should vote against them and I agree but the problem is that it's too late for that. All we can do now is wait 4 years, but I can bet that another choice will be also bad :/.
After listening all this news my agression rose from 2 to 35. The next time I will play 'Worms' I'll name all my opponents after our politicians :).
Is it really my fault? I didn't choose it. I tried to change it but it's just not me. I don't wanna lie to myself about it, I can lie to other people 'cause I'm afraid what their reaction might be, but I'm not gonna pretend that I can live like a normal person (whatever 'normal' means)!!!
So to all reading it: if you have something against me and me being a lesbian just tell me that in my face and not behind my back.
Thanx to my all friends that support me. Luv ya guys :)

Intolerance
Yesterday I've been talking to a guy on the Internet. Suddenly, he asked me what I think of gay people. I asnwered that I have nothing against them as they're the same as he is and have the same problems. Wow, what happened next was a World War 3! He told me that "I should be locked in a camp with the queer cattle and killed" (that's his words).
Who teaches them such hatred? Parents? School? Maybe I missed something, but I just can't recal the lesson of intolerance at school or home. All the people I know are tolerant and have nothing against (or almost nothing against) homosexuals.
I realized that moment that one day my ass can be kicked by some people just because I have different opinion. I'm not saying that I go to all parades and such stuff, but I think that everyone has a right to live no matter if you are gay, lesbian, catholic, muslim etc.
It's like the situation when a lady in a tram told me I'm a pervert just because I was reading a book. Yes, it was a lesbian book, but c'mon I wasn't readingporno! I told the lady not to read my book because I'm not reading hers.
I just don't find any more words to those situations. JUST LET ME BE ME!!!
But is it possible in the country ruled by xeno and homophobs? I don't think so.

Shopping in Tesco with Ania Z.
Yesterday I went shopping with Ania Zasimowicz. It was a lot of fun especially buying a tooth brush :). We were standing in front of shellves with brushes and we couldn't decide wich one to choose. Well, at least Ania couldn't decide 'cause I was there just for fun. The problem was that there were just too many brushes. You stand there and all you need is a brush but the choice is so enormous that you waste half an hour to buy it. Anyway, finally Ania chose her brush and when we were walking she asked me if I liked the color. I honestly said that I didn't like it and I would buy the purple one. She said that she likes her new brush but a minute later we returned to change it into a purple one :). There was no problem with buying the rest staff she needed (thankully).
I spend a very good time there although I don't like malls but I guess that if you go there with people you can have fun with it might be a great adventure. :).
Ania if you ever want me to go to Tesco just let me know :)
Cheers.

What I Am
I found this on Monika's blog.
Ears(S)in consciousness - talkative, remembers jokes, learn by conversations and by listening, sometimes “talk for the sake of talking” but he can also hurt others with his word(remember? consciousness is without emotions)
Ears(S) in Unconsciousness - difficulty with concentrating while listening (without seeing or moving) poor at telling jokes (that is sooooooooooo untrue in my case), responds later than others, very sensitive to any disturbing sounds (easy to put him off his stride) Speaks chaotically since he thinks using images
Movement(M) in consciousness - constantly needs to move, gesticulates, likes comfortable clothes, sensitive body (whatever it means)
Eyes(E) in sub consciousness- problems with keeping eye contact
Great! Not only doctors diagnosed slight OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder but in my case it's without Obsessive) when I was a kid but now I see I'm far more messed up than I thought!!! Fortunatelly I don't have huge problems with it as I just have to count to 100 :). I count especially lines on the road and trees when i'm in a car, which is quite tireing sometimes. Well, that's it folks :).
